O objetivo do presente texto é tecer algumas considerações sobre a trajetória do movimento feminista no Brasil nos seus “primeiros” cem anos, a partir da publicação do livro da escritora Nísia Floresta, Direitos das mulheres e injustiça dos homens, considerado como marco inicial desse movimento no Brasil, em 1832, até 1934, quando houve a conquista do sufrágio feminino na Carta Magna Brasileira. Em vista disso, partiremos de uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema e da análise de alguns periódicos feministas que circularam no Brasil durante o século XIX. Pretendemos, assim, discutir sobre os primeiros vestígios da luta feminista e suas principais representantes. Quais eram os ideais defendidos por essas mulheres e como esse movimento foi ganhando adeptas em todo o mundo. E, dessa forma, compreender como o feminismo é plural e diverso, e, como ao longo do tempo, incorporou diferentes pautas, se tornando cada vez mais abrangente. Isto posto, analisaremos as diferentes estratégias que utilizavam em prol da conquista de direitos e as divergências entre elas. Portanto, dialogaremos com as pesquisadoras sobre tema como Rachel Soihet (2013), Celí Regina Pinto (2003) e Branca Moreira Alves (1980).
The aim of the present text is to make some considerations about the trajectory of the feminist movement in Brazil in its "first" one hundred years, from the publication of the book of the writer Nísia Floresta, Women's rights and injustice of the men, considered as the initial mark of this movement in Brazil, in 1832, until 1934, when there was the conquest of women's suffrage in the Brazilian Magna Carta. In view of this, we will start with a bibliographical review on the theme and the analysis of some feminist periodicals that circulated in Brazil during the 19th century. We intend, therefore, to discuss the first vestiges of the feminist struggle and its main representatives. What were the ideals espoused by these women and how was this movement gained adherents all over the world. And, in this way, understand how feminism is plural and diverse, and, as it has over time, incorporated different patterns, becoming more and more comprehensive. That said, we will analyze the different strategies they used for the achievement of rights and the differences between them. Therefore, we will dialogue with the researchers on such topics as Rachel Soihet (2013), Celí Regina Pinto (2003) and Branca Moreira Alves (1980).
