A reflexão que pretendemos realizar neste artigo levará em conta a liturgia bizantina, praticada pelos ortodoxos ou pelos católicos orientais. Buscaremos apresentar o culto da Virgem Maria no Oriente Cristão Ortodoxo, explorando a beleza das invocações, da iconografia, da hinografia e das festas litúrgicas. Evidentemente, este trabalho não pretende e nem poderia esgotar a riqueza desta venerável Tradição, cujo fundamento repousa na Maternidade Divina, na Virgindade Perpétua e na Santidade da Virgem Bendita

The reflection intended in this article will take into account the Byzantine rite, whether it is practiced by Orthodox or Eastern Catholics. It will seek to present the cult of the Virgin Mary in the Orthodox Christian East, exploring the beauty of invocations, iconography, hymnography and liturgical feasts. Evidently, this work does not and could not fully explore the richness of this venerable Tradition, whose foundation lies in the Divine Maternity, in the Perpetual Virginity and in the Holiness of the Blessed Virgin.
