Viabilidade econômica da apicultura no município de Botucatu - SP

O município de Botucatu pode ser uma ótima opção para o desenvolvimento da apicultura por apresentar grande diversidade de culturas agrícolas, condições climáticas favoráveis e por localizar-se próximo a importantes rodovias estaduais, o que facilitaria o escoamento da produção. Assim, teve-se como objetivo estudar a viabilidade econômica da instalação de uma empresa produtora de mel no município de Botucatu - SP. A partir da análise de diversos fatores que compõem a sustentação de uma atividade apícola, assumiu-se uma empresa com 480 colmeias e com uma casa do mel, para processamento de toda produção. No empreendimento foram analisados os investimentos, custos de manutenção, rentabilidade e a estimativa de crescimento do negócio ao longo de cinco anos. Por meio de um fluxo de caixa foram obtidos os indicadores valor presente líquido - VPL, com uma taxa mínima de atratividade - TMA de 6%, taxa interna de retorno - TIR e o payback, assim como o cálculo do ponto de nivelamento. O projeto foi considerado economicamente viável, com a constatação de VPL igual a R$ 116.163,57 e TIR de 33%. O lucro líquido anual da empresa alcançou o valor de R$ 61.374,00, o que acumulado durante cinco anos, pode atingir R$ 164.503,95. Com base no payback o investidor teria retorno do investimento inicial a partir de dois anos e quatro meses. A produção mínima de mel para que o projeto desse lucro foi de 14.558 kg/mel/ano.

The city of Botucatu can be a great option to development of beekeeping, for presenting great diversity of agricultural crops and favorable climatic conditions. It is located near several state highways, which facilitate the flow of production.In this context, the present study aims to analyze the economic feasibility of installing a honey production company in Botucatu - SP. From an analysis of the various factors that make up the support of a bee activity, it was assumed a honey bee company with 480 hives and a honey bee house to process all production. Have been analyzed the investments, maintenance costs, profitability and the estimated business growth over five years. Through a cash flow were obtained the indicators, net present value – NPV at a hurdle rate of 6%, internal rate of return - IRR and payback period, as well as calculating the break-even point. The project was considered economically viable, with the NPV realization of R$ 116.163,57 and IRR of 33%. The annual net profit of the company has reached the amount of R$ 61.374,00, which may accumulate R$ 164.503,95 over five years. The producer would return on the initial investment from two years and four months. The smaller production of honey bee so that the project of this income was 14.558kg/honey/year.
