UM ESTUDO VARIACIONISTA SOBRE O PREENCHIMENTO DA POSIÇÃO DO SUJEITO EM DADOS DE FALA

Este trabalho tem como objetivo principal investigar a realização do preenchimento do sujeito na fala de crianças e adolescentes que vivem em entidades filantrópicas de Maceió. Procura-se alcançar, à luz da Teoria da Variação Linguística, de William Labov (2008 [1972]), os seguintes objetivos: (i) observar se há variação entre o uso de sujeito preenchido e sujeito não-preenchido, considerando o controle das variáveis linguísticas; (ii) verificar se há uma tendência ao preenchimento da posição de sujeito, conforme vem apontando pesquisas sociolinguísticas (cf. DUARTE, 1993, 1995; COSTA, 2003; SOUZA et al, 2010; entre outros); e (iii) identificar que fatores linguísticos e sociais estariam condicionando o uso do preenchimento e do não-preenchimento do sujeito. O corpus deste artigo é constituído por gravações de entrevistas e narrativas, estratificadas de acordo com os fatores extralinguísticos selecionados para análise. O programa computacional Goldvarb X foi utilizado para a análise estatística dos dados. Ao realizar essa análise, constatou-se que: (i) há variação entre sujeito preenchido e sujeito nulo; (ii) os resultados obtidos atestam estudos anteriores ao mostrar uma tendência ao preenchimento do sujeito; e (iii) essa tendência é motivada tanto por fatores linguísticos (tempo verbal, natureza do sujeito e concordância verbal) como extralinguísticos (escolaridade).

This paper investigates the implementation of the overt subject in the speech of children and teenagers who live in philanthropic entities of Maceio. According to the Theory of Linguistic Variation by William Labov (2008 [1972]), it is intended to achieve the following objectives: (i) to see if there is variation between the use of overt achieve the following objectives: (i) to see if there is variation between the use of overt position, as sociolinguistic researches has pointed (see DUARTE, 1993 , 1995; COSTA, 2003, SOUZA et al, 2010, among others), and (iii) to identify which social and linguistic factors have conditional on the use of overt and the non-overt of the subject. The corpus of this paper consists of recorded interviews and narratives, stratified according to extralinguistic factors selected for analysis. The software Goldvarb X was used for extralinguistic factors selected for statistical analysis. In this analysis, it was found that: (i) there is variation between overt and non- overt subject; (ii) the results attest what the previous studies have showed, a tendency to overt the subject, and (iii) this trend is motivated by both linguistic factors (tense, nature of the subjetc and verb agreement) and extralinguistic (education).
