Neste trabalho tratamos do ensino de língua portuguesa, mostrando como os textos jornalísticos podem ser usados nas aulas do curso superior indígena. O objetivo do estudo é discutir como os textos jornalísticos podem ser trabalhados nas aulas de língua portuguesa como segunda língua, visando maior entendimento dos acadêmicos em relação aos diferentes gêneros textuais e seus contextos de produção e circulação. A discussão tem como base uma experiência desenvolvida com graduandos indígenas da Faculdade Indígena Intercultural – Unemat – Barra do Bugres - MT. O estudo é fundamentado em autores que discutem o ensino de língua portuguesa a partir de gêneros textuais que circulam socialmente.

In this study we deal with Portuguese language teaching, to show how journalistic texts can be used in indigenous higher education classes. This study aims to discuss how journalistic texts can be worked in Portuguese language classes as a second language, aiming at a greater understanding of the students in relation to the different textual genres and their contexts of production and circulation. The discussion is based on an experience developed with native students from the Indigenous Intercultural University - Unemat - Barra do Bugres - MT. The study is based on authors who discuss the teaching of Portuguese language from textual genres which circulate socially.
