O sertão, a partir dos escritos de Antônio Rolim de Moura, ganha uma pluralidade de significados e aspectos diferenciados que compõem um conjunto de representações expressas em juízos, saberes, intenções e projeções. No fazer cotidiano da colonização, nas descobertas do novo espaço e dos personagens singulares que o habitavam, nas estratégias de sobrevivência diante dos perigos e hostilidades da natureza bruta, no gozo de suas paisagens, no aproveitamento dos seus recursos, o sertão se transforma. É com este sentido que se reflete as imagens construídas por Antônio Rolim de Moura do sertão matogrossense no setecentos.

The hare, from the writings of Antônio Rolim de Moura, gains a plurality of meanings and differentiated aspects that make up a set of representations expressed in judgments, knowledge, intentions and projections. In the daily making of colonization, in the discoveries of the new space and of the singular characters that inhabited it, in the strategies of survival in the face of the dangers and hostilities of the raw nature, in the enjoyment of its landscapes, in the use of its resources, the sertão is transformed. It is with this sense that the images constructed by Antônio Rolim de Moura of the matogrossense sertão in the seven hundred are reflected.
