O presente trabalho é uma proposta de estudo das disciplinas de Psicologia e Sociologia da Educação, do segundo semestre do curso de Licenciatura em Matemática, do Instituto Federal Farroupilha – campus Santa Rosa. O objetivo consiste em analisar o filme “L’enfant Sauvageâ€, traduzido para a lÃngua portuguesa como “O Garoto Selvagem†ou “O Menino Selvagemâ€, através de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, referente à s temáticas estudadas pelas disciplinas e de uma pesquisa participativa que parte da interação entre professora e alunos no decorrer do estudo e escrita. O filme narra a trajetória de educação de um menino de 11 a 12 anos, batizado de Victor, que foi encontrado em uma floresta vivendo sozinho. O menino possuÃa hábitos considerados “selvagensâ€, não falava, andava como um quadrúpede e alimentava-se de raÃzes e plantas. A história possibilitou refletir sobre o que nos torna humanos e qual a função e o papel da educação na formação das pessoas. Apesar de nascermos com condições biológicas, é necessário viver um processo de humanização, baseado numa educação social e consciente da realidade em que estamos inseridos, para vir a se tornar humanos. Neste sentido, foi possÃvel perceber que a socialização e a interação são fundamentais no processo de desenvolvimento e aprendizagem humana, o que nos leva a pensar sobre a qualidade desenvolvida nesses processos e também no papel de quem desempenha essas funções.
The present work is a proposal to study the subjects of Psychology and Sociology of Education, from
the second semester of Degree in Mathematics, at Instituto Federal Farroupilha, campus Santa
Rosa. The purpose is to analyze the fi lm “L’enfant Sauvageâ€, translated into Portuguese as “The
Wild Boy†or “The Wild Childâ€, through a bibliographic research, relating to studied thematics by
subjects and from a participative research which starts from the interaction between a teacher and
their students in the course of the study and writing. The fi lm narrates the educational trajectory
of a boy of 11 to 12 years, named Victor, who was found in a forest living alone. The boy had
considered habits as “wild,†did not speak, walked like a quadruped and fed on roots and plants.
The story enabled to think over what makes us human and what is the function and role of education
in the formation of people. Although, we born with biological conditions, it is necessary to live
a process of humanization, based on a social and conscious education of the reality in which we
are inserted, to become humans. In this regard, it could be noted that socialization and interaction
are fundamental in the development process and human learning, which lead us to think about the
quality developed on those processes and also in the role of who performs these functions.
