Fraternidade: do latim Frater (irmão), tem suas origens na doutrina cristã. Há quem encontre pontos de afinidade entre philia e fraternidade. Na Revolução Francesa de 1789, o tríptico Liberdade, Igualdade e Fraternidade consiste no laço de união entre os homens, fundado na igualdade de direitos de todos os seres humanos livres. A Campanha da Fraternidade é um movimento solidário promovido pela Igreja Católica, cujo tema de 2020 é “Fraternidade e vida: dom e compromisso”. Eclipsada, ela reaparece transformada na modernidade como solidariedade. São objetivos, a (re)inserção do princípio da fraternidade diante das crises epidêmicas mundiais do terceiro milênio e demonstrar que a proposta pode evitar graves problemas de intolerância com o diferente ou o desconhecido. A metodologia empregada é histórica e analítico-conceitual, bibliográfica.

Fraternity: from the Latin Frater (brother), has its origins in Christian doctrine. There are those who find affinity points between philia (political friendship) and fraternity. In the French Revolution of 1789 in the triptych: Freedom, Equality and Fraternity consists in the bond of union between men, founded on respect for human dignity and equal rights among all free human beings. The Fraternity Campaign is a solidarity movement promoted annually by the Catholic Church in Brazil, whose theme of 2020 is: “Fraternity and life: gift and commitment”. Eclipsed, fraternity reappears transformed into the modern idea of solidarity. The objective is the (re) insertion of the principle of fraternity in the face of the global epidemic crisis of the third millennium and demonstrate that the proposal can avoid serious intolerance problems with the different or unknown. The methodology employed is historical and analytical-conceptual, bibliographical.
