A pandemia do COVID-19 tem revelado a fragilidade do sistema de proteção social agravada pelo momento de desmonte e retrocessos frente à questão socioassistencial expressas pelo atual governo. A crise sanitária provocada pelo vírus ultrapassa processos vinculados à saúde e evidencia as vulnerabilidades sociais intensificadas pelo contexto econômico e político do país. Dessa forma o presente artigo tem por objetivo identificar a oferta dos benefícios eventuais do Distrito Federal com ênfase no atual período pandêmico, dado a relevância do acesso a estes benefícios em momentos de contingência social para viabilização de proteção social e frente às inúmeras situações de acirramento de vulnerabilidade e risco devido à COVID 19. Através da pesquisa bibliográfica e análise qualitativa dos dados obtidos pelo sistema de informação da Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Social do Distrito Federal buscar-se-á analisar a oferta de benefícios eventuais no DF com recorte temporal do período de janeiro a outubro de 2019; janeiroa outubro de 2020 e de janeiro à setembro de 2021.Observou-se que houve um aumento significativo de concessões de beneficíos eventuais a partir de 2020.Comprende-se que tal aumento está interligado ao contexto de vulnerabilidade intensificado pela pandemia. Nota-se, portanto, que o cenário pandêmico explicitou o quão crucial é o papel do Estado para garantia de proteção social.

The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed the fragility of the social protection system, aggravated by the moment of dismantling and setbacks in face of the social assistance issue expressed by the current government. The health crisis caused by the virus goes beyond health-related processes and highlights the social vulnerabilities intensified by the country's economic and political context. Thus, this article aims to identify the offer of eventual benefits in the Federal District, with emphasis on the current pandemic period, given the relevance of access to these benefits in times of social contingency for the feasibility of social protection and in the face of numerous situations of intensification of vulnerability and risk due to COVID 19. Through bibliographical research and qualitative analysis of the data obtained by the information system of the Social Development Secretariat of the Federal District, we will seek to analyze the offer of eventual benefits in the DF with a time frame for the January period to October 2019; January to October 2020 and from January to September 2021. It was observed that there was a significant increase in the granting of eventual benefits from 2020. It is understood that this increase is linked to the context of vulnerability intensified by the pandemic. It can be noted, therefore, that the pandemic scenario made clear how crucial the role of the State in guaranteeing social protection is.
