Este artigo científico trata a respeito da presença, na história da salvação do gênero humano, do Deus que sofre na revelação privada da Divina Misericórdia. Tal problemática consiste em averiguar, considerando seus atributos divinos revelados pela própria Divindade, se Ela poderia sofrer diante do sofrimento dos homens. Esta questão é de grande importância, uma vez que a associação do sofrimento ao pecado como se tal fosse simplesmente uma relação de causalidade, tornando o Absoluto como um Ser incapaz de sofrer, pode encarecer tanto a Teologia quanto a vivência espiritual e pastoral da Igreja, afastando fiéis da Verdade. A finalidade deste trabalho científico é, outrossim, analisar o atributo da misericórdia de Deus e sua capacidade de sofrer com o e pelo homem, verificando os atributos por Ele revelados nas Sagradas Escrituras e estudados pela Teologia Clássica e Contemporânea, bem com descrever como esses atributos foram revelados de forma privada para Santa Faustina, mística polonesa. Para atingir estes objetivos, foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa, por meio de revisão bibliográfica e documental. O estudo científico demonstrou o caráter fundamental do atributo da misericórdia, que não só orienta os demais como também revela que a Divindade se comove e sofre com os e pelos homens.

This scientific article deals with the presence, in the history of the salvation of the human race, of the God who suffers in the private revelation of Divine Mercy. This problem consists of finding out, considering its divine attributes revealed by the Divinity itself, whether She could suffer in the face of the suffering of men. This question is of great importance, since the association of suffering with sin as if it were simply a causal relationship, making the Absolute a Being incapable of suffering, can make both Theology and the spiritual and pastoral experience of the Church more expensive, distancing believers from the Truth. The purpose of this scientific work is, moreover, to analyze the attribute of God’s mercy and his ability to suffer with and for man, verifying the attributes revealed by Him in the Holy Scriptures and studied by Classical and Contemporary Theology, as well as describing how these attributes were revealed privately to Saint Faustina, a Polish mystic. To achieve these objectives, qualitative research was carried out through bibliographic and documentary review. Scientific study has demonstrated the fundamental character of the attribute of mercy, which not only guides others but also reveals that the Divinity is moved and suffers with and for men.
