O artigo tem como objetivo promover reflexões sobre o processo de documentação no cotidiano profissional do/a assistente social, especialmente para o instrumental diário de campo. Para tanto, partimos do questionamento “Por que você usa um caderninho?”, formulada durante o momento de supervisão de estágio obrigatório de Serviço Social entre estudante estagiária e supervisora de campo de uma instituição federal de educação superior. As análises apontam para a relevância do momento do estágio durante a formação acadêmica, a relação indissociável entre teoria e prática na atuação profissional e a importância da adoção de estratégias que permitam a sistematização do trabalho. Destaca-se a necessidade da ampliação de pesquisas sobre o papel da documentação em Serviço Social, bem como uma maior apreensão de suas contribuições, de modo a qualificar a atuação profissional.
Resumo Inglês:
The following focuses on promoting reflections on the documentation process in the professional daily life of the social worker, especially on the use of the instrumentalfieldjournal. Therefore, we start with the question: “Why do you use a notebook?”; formulated during the supervision of a mandatory Social Work internship between an intern undergraduate student and their field supervisor in a federal institution of higher education. The analysis points to the relevance of the internship during academic training, the inseparable relationship between theory and practice in professional activities, and the importance of adopting strategies that allow for the systematization of professional practice. The necessity of expanding investigation focused on the role of documentation in Social Work practice is highlighted, alongside the importance of a greater understanding of its contributions to qualify professional performance.
