O artigo tem por objetivo examinar alguns aspectos da leitura que Hannah Arendt faz do pensamento de Maquiavel. Conhecer certos pontos de convergência entre os dois autores, especialmente o importante status que concedem à aparência na polÃtica, pode auxiliar na compreensão de alguns elementos de suas reflexões.
The purpose of this paper is to examine some aspects of Hannah Arendt’s interpretation of Machiavelli’s thinking. Knowing certain points of convergence between the two authors, especially the importance both attribute to appearance in politics, can be helpful to understand some elements of their political philosophies.
