No presente estudo procurou-se buscar relações entre indicadores de tecnologias sustentáveis, através dos fatores ambientais existentes no turismo fluvial, tendo como objetivo mostrar a aplicabilidade do método PIER para o sistema dos impactos ambientais causados pelo turismo fluvial na Foz do Rio São Francisco. Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica a partir de informações secundárias obtidas em periódicos, dissertações, jornais de circulação regional e outras referências e do conhecimento adquirido pelas observações realizadas durante as visitas in loco. Foi utilizada a metodologia da Organização para a Cooperação e Desenvolvimento Econômico (OCDE) para a construção da matriz de indicadores, a Matriz PEIR – Pressão, Estado, Impacto e Resposta que organiza e agrupa de maneira lógica fatores relacionados ao meio ambiente e tecnologias sustentáveis existentes que minimizam impactos ambientais. Tendo como resultado a apresentação de Indicadores tecnólogicos sustentáveis e Indicadores Pressão/Estado/Impacto/Resposta – PEI/ER, relacionados aos impactos ambientais causados pelo turismo fluvial na Foz do Rio São Francisco/Baixo São Francisco.Pressão/Estado/Impacto/Resposta – PEI/ER.

In the present study, we studied the relationships between indicators of sustainable technologies, through environmental factors in the river tourism, with the objective of showing the applicability of the PIER method to understand the environmental impacts caused by river tourism in the mouth of São Francisco River. A bibliographical research was carried out from secondary information obtained in journals, dissertations, local or regional newspapers and other references and the knowledge acquired by the observations made during local visits. In addition, to achieve the objective of this research, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) methodology was used to construct a matrix of indicators, by the PEIR Matrix - Pressure, State, Impact and Response that organizes and groups in a logical way environmental factors and existing sustainable technologies that minimize environmental impacts. As a result, the construction of sustainable technological indicators and Indicators of Pressure / State / Impact / Response - PEI / ER, related to the environmental impacts caused by river tourism in the São Francisco River/PEI/ ER.
