Este artigo aborda a importância da percepção dos professores em relação a família dos alunos na Escola Municipal de Educação Básica no município de Sinop, Mato Grosso. Teve como objetivo analisar os desafios encontrados pelos professores para que os familiares participassem das atividades escolares com três turmas de 1º ano e duas turmas de 2º ano. O estudo de caso foi realizado por meio de entrevista e observação com os professores e alunos e teve uma abordagem qualitativa. A base teórica foi composta por Paulo Freire. Conclui-se que neste estudo os pais dos alunos só participam quando solicitados e não por interesse próprio deles.
This article adresses the importance of the teachers’ perception regarding the students Family at the Municipal School of Basic Education in Sinop city, Mato Grosso State. The objective was to analyze the challenges faced by teachers so that family members could participate in school activities with three classes of 1st grade and two of 2nd grade. The study was carried out by interview and observation with teachers and students and it had a qualitatuve approach. The theoretical foundation was was composed by Paulo Freire. It is concluded that in this study the students’ parents only participate when requested and not for their own interest.
