Os Arquivos Públicos no contexto da Agenda 2030: estudo de caso no Arquivo Público Municipal de Vitória

A contribuição do Arquivo Público Municipal para fortalecimento dos Objetivos do DesenvolvimentoSustentável propostos pela Agenda 2030 constitui a temática principal deste estudo. O tema érelevante por evidenciar a necessidade de envolvimento das instituições públicas e de seus gestores,sobretudo, no âmbito local, na garantia de direitos humanos como estratégia para o desenvolvimentodas nações. Objetiva propor melhorias ao Arquivo Público quanto ao uso adequado dos documentos,tanto pelos gestores, quanto pelos munícipes, de modo a aproveitar o potencial desse órgão nocontexto da Agenda 2030, com foco no objetivo 16, meta 16.10. Além de pesquisa descritiva,qualitativa e bibliográfica, aplicou-se estudo de caso no Arquivo Municipal de Vitória, conduzido porentrevista, observação e análise de conteúdo. Os resultados alcançados revelaram o papel dosarquivos na concretização das propostas da Agenda 2030, ao executar uma das principais funções,que é a facilitação do acesso à informação, de modo democrático, igualitário e sem qualquer tipo debarreira, garantindo o acesso universal à informação. Portanto, conclui-se que a visibilidade doespaço, a ampliação e capacitação da equipe e o uso de instrumentos arquivísticos e tecnológicosconstituem as principais melhorias a serem realizadas no Arquivo, haja vista oportunizar a garantia dedireitos dos cidadãos.

The contribution of the Municipal Public Archive to strengthen the Sustainable Development Goalsproposed by Agenda 2030 is the main theme of this study. The theme is relevant because it highlightsthe need for involvement of public institutions and their managers, especially at the local level, inguaranteeing human rights as a strategy for the development of nations. It aims to proposeimprovements to the Public Archive, regarding the proper use of documents, both by managers andcitizens, in order to take advantage of the potential of this body in the context of Agenda 2030,focusing on goal 16, goal 16.10. In addition to descriptive, qualitative and bibliographical research, astudy was applied. case in the Municipal Archive of Vitória, conducted by interview, observation andcontent analysis. The results achieved revealed the role of archives in implementing the 2030 Agendaproposals, especially when they perform one of the main functions, which is the facilitation of accessto information, in a democratic, egalitarian way and without any type of barrier, ensuringdemocratization universal access to information. Therefore, it is concluded that the visibility of thespace, the expansion and training of the team and the use of archival and technological instrumentsconstitute the main improvements to be carried out in the Archive, given the opportunity toguarantee the rights of citizens.
