Resumo Português:

Constitui tarefa da geografia o estudo do território como categoria fundamental de
análise quando se quer estudar a sociedade a partir da luta de classes. As contradições
dessa luta emergem de maneira mais explícita nas dimensões do território possibilitando
entender a conjunção de forças opostas. Por isso o lugar onde se dão as disputas
políticas e se desenvolvem as conflitualidades é o território material. A cada território
material corresponde um território imaterial que é construído simultânea e
necessariamente com o objetivo de tornar o primeiro visível ou invisível. Essa é a
intenção desse texto: iniciar uma discussão sobre o território imaterial do campesinato.

Resumo Inglês:

The main geography’s aim is to study the territory as a fundamental category specially
when studyind the society from the class struggle. The contradictions of this struggle
emerge explicitly in the dimensions of the territory enabling the understanding jof these
opposite forces combination. So, the places where these struggles take place and the
conflicts develop is the immaterial territory. Each material territory has an immaterial
territory built smultaneaously and necessarily aiming to turn the first territory visible or
invisible. The intention of this text is to begin a discussion about the peasantry’s
immaterial territory.
