As teorias das Relações Internacionais têm estudado o Sistema Internacional, buscan-do compreender os comportamentos de seus atores, desde sua origem. Durante mui-to tempo, essas teorias demonstraram pouco interesse pela historicidade, optando por uma análise sistêmica do “internacional”. O objetivo do presente artigo é usar a teoria pós-colonial para fazer uma análise histórica do atual Sistema Internacional, analisan-do em termos de sua origem, desenvolvimento e estrutura. Será analisado também a suposta universalidade das teorias de Relações Internacionais e como ela serve para sistematicamente silenciar vozes dos subalternos e reproduzir, com o auxílio do conhe-cimento, a hierarquia atual do Sistema Internacional.

The theories of International Relations have studied the International System, seeking to un-derstand the behavior of its actors, since its origin. For a long time, these theories have demon-strated little interest for historicity, opting for a systemic analysis of the “international”. The aim of the present article is to use post-colonial theory to make a historical analysis of the current International System, analyzing it in terms of its origin, development and structure. It will also be analyzed the supposed universality of International Relations theories e how it serves to sys-tematically silence voices of subordinates and reproduce, with the help of knowledge, the current hierarchy of the International System.
