Este trabalho tem o objetivo de analisar os enunciados sobre o uso da imagem visual, articulado à formação docente na Educação de Jovens e Adultos, e de descrever os feixes de relações enunciativas que constituem o objeto em tela. Para tanto, recorremos à metodologia da Análise Arqueológica do Discurso, na perspectiva de Michel Foucault, e seguimos o processo de escavação, de análise e de descrição dos enunciados. Foi possível conhecer as condições que viabilizaram o aparecimento da imagem visual e a formação docente na EJA. Como estratégia do método arqueológico, iniciamos a análise a partir do Parecer 11/2000, que nos conduziu a outras referências e documentos de ordem política e educacional, em que as séries enunciativas desenterradas mostraram a necessidade de uma formação docente para lidar com as imagens visuais, a fim de oportunizar a aprendizagem, o conhecimento e a melhoria da qualidade educacional para os sujeitos da Educação de Jovens e Adultos.

This work aims to analyze the statements about the use of visual image related to the teacher training in Youth and Adult Education as well as to describe the series of enunciative relations that constitute the object of study. Therefore, we used the methodology of the Archaeological Analysis of Discourse, from Michel Foucault's perspective, and we followed the process of excavation, analysis and description of the statements. It was possible to know the conditions that enabled the appearance of the visual image and the teacher training in the Youth and Adult Education. As strategy of the archaeological method, we began the analysis based on the Opinion 011/2000, which led us to other references and documents of political and educational order, where the excavated enunciative series showed the need for teacher training to deal with visual images, in order to facilitate learning, knowledge and improvement of educational quality for the Youth and Adult Education individuals.
