Este artigo procura oferecer ao professor de Artes informações básicas com
relação à presença do aluno com deficiência visual na classe comum. Aborda
também aspectos relevantes da relação professor e aluno durante as aulas na
escola comum, bem como mostra de forma sucinta as implicações da
deficiência visual sobre o homem e sua interação com o meio. Por isso sugere
algumas recomendações que favorecerão a ação pedagógica do professor de
artes junto ao aluno com cegueira ou baixa visão.

The students with visual impairments in the classroom: general
information for teachers of arts
This article offers to the Arts’ teacher basic information about the presence of
the visual deficient student in the classroom. It also regards relevant aspects on
the relationship between teacher and student while in the classes in the
common school, as it shows the implications of the visual deficiency on the man
and his interaction in the environment. Finally, it suggests some tips to improve
the arts teacher’s pedagogic action to the blind or low vision student.
