Resumos Cadastrados

Resumo Português:

O presente trabalho visa a abordar o território sul-mato-grossense, focando no
A análise dessa estrutura,
desses centros urbanos.

Resumo Inglês:

This work aims to approach the Mato Grosso do Sul territory, focusing on the
functionally articulated set of cities which makes up its urban structure. Formed mostly by
small towns and local towns, and some four cities, with the highest degree of functional
complexity and population size, the Mato Grosso Sul territory denotes the course that the
urbanization process took in the state. The analysis of this structure at the core of the
territorial formation process and the urbanization of Mato Grosso do Sul, proves to be of
significant importance for understanding the current urban context - the regional role these
cities of greater functional complexity (Campo Grande, Dourados, Três Lagoas and Corumbá) have on their hinterlands. In this regard, the essay, in addition to addressing the
role of the current centrality of these cities on the network, turn to rescue, briefly, the factors
that determined and conditioned the urban and regional dynamics of these urban centers.
KEYWORDS: urban structure; urban network; centrality; territorial formation.
