O romance As mulheres de Tijucopapo de Marilene Felinto é analisado na perspectiva do processo de cria- ção da personagem pós-moderna, usando a visão de Stuart Hall sobre a construção da identidade no mundo pós-moderno. Observa-se que a construção do sujeito no caso de Rísia, protagonista do romance, está intimamente ligada à evolução de sua linguagem. Da mudez e gagueira, Rísia chega a um discurso lírico, individual, criando toda uma poética sua, particular. É este caminho que vamos percorrer com ela.

The novel As mulheres de Tijucopapo by Marilene Felinto is analyzed in the perspective of the creation process of the post-modern character, using Stuart Hall’s views on the construction of identity in a post-modern world. One can notice that the construction of the identity in the case of Rísia, protagonist of the novel, is closely related to the evolution of her language.
