Este artigo objetiva examinar — através de uma
narrativa medieval ibérica do século XIII chamada “Lenda
de Gaia†— as relações de gênero e aspectos imaginários
referentes à s relações sociais e polÃticas do perÃodo.
A narrativa examinada é apresentada em duas versões incluÃda
em dois dos Livros de Linhagens portugueses, sendo
analisadas comparativamente neste artigo.
This article intends to examine, among an Iberian
medieval narrative of the XIII century called “Legend of
Gaiaâ€, the genre’s relations and the imaginary aspects
referring to the social and political relations of the period.
The narrative examined is presented in two versions
included in two of the Portuguese Linage Books, which
ones are analyzed comparatively un this article.
