Resumo Português:

Com a evolução do Estado moderno, este adquiriu novas atribuições, relacionadas ao alargamento do espectro da cidadania. Atendendo às reivindicações das populações pobres urbanas, o estado assimilou a dimensão social da cidadania. Investigamos adaptações específicas realizadas pela polícia militar para adequar sua missão ao contexto de novas leis, pensadas para neste contexto de alargamento e promoção da cidadania no país, sobretudo a partir da assimilação da mulher em seus âmbitos públicos e/ou privados, sendo que nossa sociedade “definiu” que o homem representa poder e a mulher a submissão. Mesmo após a inserção das mulheres na Polícia Militar e a acomodação de seus corpos e habitus arregimentados pela corporação, espera-se da policial feminina, uma postura mais firme e até mesmo hostil nos seus afazeres cotidianos da atividade policial.

With the evolution of the modern State, it has acquired new attributions, related to the enlargement of the citizenship spectrum. Attending to the demands of the urban poor, the state has assimilated the social dimension of citizenship. We are investigating specific adaptations made by the military police to adapt its mission to the context of new laws, designed for this context of enlargement and promotion of citizenship in the country, especially from the assimilation of women in their public and/or private spheres, and our society has "defined" that man represents power and woman the submission. Even after the insertion of women in the Military Police and the accommodation of their bodies and habits regulated by the corporation, a firmer and even hostile posture in their daily tasks of police activity is expected from the female police.
