OBJETIVO: O presente estudo tem por objetivo identificar as implicações da suplementação de vitamina D em recém-nascidos prematuros.
MÉTODO: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, na qual a busca de material foi realizada nas bases de dados: U.S National Library of Medicine andtheNatinalInstitutes Health (PUBMED), ScienceDirect e Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SCIELO) com os descritores em inglês associados: “Premature” e “Vitamin D”.
RESULTADOS: Após realizada análise, foi constatado que 60% das publicações mostravam apenas as alterações séricas devido à suplementação de vitamina D. E, 40% dos trabalhos tratavam dos desfechos clínicos.
CONCLUSÃO:A maior parte dos artigos analisados mostram que a suplementação sustentada com vitamina D atinge os níveis de suficiência desejados. No que tange aos desfechos clínicos, foi observado que os artigos que tratam dessa temática representam uma minoria dos trabalhos analisados.

OBJECTIVE: To identify the implications of vitamin D supplementation in premature newborns.
METHOD: This is an integrative literature review, in which the search for material was carried out in the databases: US National Library of Medicine and the Natinal Institutes Health (PUBMED), ScienceDirect and Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SCIELO) with the associated English descriptors: “Premature” and “Vitamin D”.
RESULTS: After analysis, it was found that 60% of the publications showed only the serum changes due to vitamin D supplementation. In addition,40% of the studies dealt with clinical outcomes.
CONCLUSION: Most of the articles analyzed show that sustained vitamin D supplementation reaches the desired levels of sufficiency. Regarding clinical outcomes, it was observed that the articles dealing with this theme represent a minority of the studies analyzed.
