GESTÃO PEDAGÓGICA EM COMUNIDADES VIRTUAIS ORIENTADAS PARA A APRENDIZAGEM: A IMPORTÂNCIA DA FORMAÇÃO DO PROFESSOR MEDIADOR

As novas tecnologias da comunicação e informação, em especial, a Internet, têm favorecido a oferta de cursos a distância on-line. Por outro lado, cada vez mais aumenta a procura por esses cursos – seja pela dificuldade de disponibilidade espaço-temporal para o estudo, seja pelo aculturamento digital cada vez mais presente na atual sociedade. Quando desenvolvidos dentro de uma abordagem colaborativa, os participantes desses cursos devem ser estimulados a interagir no ambiente virtual, com o intuito de desenvolver a aprendizagem de modo coletivo. Muitas vezes, ocorre a formação de comunidades virtuais de aprendizagem nesse contexto. O agente estimulador dessas interações é o professor, na função de mediador pedagógico on-line. Uma comunidade virtual orientada para a aprendizagem, quando mediada pedagogicamente por um professor, pode ser desenvolvida em cursos a distância on-line para favorecer o processo educacional. Esse trabalho vem discutir, por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, o conceito e a importância do desenvolvimento pedagogicamente orientado dessas comunidades em cursos on-line, bem como a necessidade de formação de professores mediadores capazes de mediar adequadamente as interações, com o objetivo de promover a aprendizagem. Os professores que desejarem atuar em cursos nessa modalidade educacional devem desenvolver competências que, quando associadas às básicas da docência, os tornem capazes de promover a interação e a colaboração on-line, bem como a constituição de comunidades virtuais orientadas para a aprendizagem.

New technologies of communication and information, in particular the Internet, have favored the provision of online distance learning courses. On the other hand, the demand for these courses is increasing – its causes are the difficulty of space-time availability for study and the increasing digital acculturation in contemporary society. When developed in a collaborative approach, the participants in these courses should be encouraged to interact in the virtual environment, in order to develop learning in a collective way. Often, there is the formation of virtual learning communities in this context. The stimulating agent of these interactions is the teacher, a moderator in online teaching. A learning-oriented virtual community, when pedagogically moderated by a teacher, can be developed in online distance learning courses in order to favor the educational process. This paper discusses, through a literature search, the concept and importance of developing pedagogically-oriented online courses in these communities, as well as the need for training of moderator teachers who are capable of moderating interactions properly, in order to promote learning. Teachers who wish to operate in this mode of education courses should develop skills that, when associated with basic teaching, make them able to promote interaction and online collaboration, and the formation of learning-oriented virtual communities.
