Estudo sobre a coleção de multimeios em bibliotecas universitárias. Objetiva avaliar a forma de cuidados, conservação e gestão dos materiais não convencionais e/ou multimeios, contidos nas bibliotecas das Faculdades Integradas Aparício de Carvalho (FIMCA), Faculdade de Rondônia (FARO) e Faculdade Católica de Rondônia (FCR). Realiza pesquisa exploratória e qualitativa para melhor compreensão da temática. Para o levantamento de dados efetivou três entrevistas com as respectivas bibliotecárias junto às instituições secionadas. Desta forma, como uma das atribuições, foi possível oferecer sugestões quanto aos aspectos que podem ser aprimorados, em comum acordo com as responsáveis pelas quatro bibliotecas objeto da pesquisa. Conclui que os multimeios são um tipo de material informacional que deve coabitar com os materiais tradicionais, enquanto opção agregadora e complementar no processo de educação das clientelas dessas instituições.

Study of the collection of multimedia in university libraries. It aims to evaluate the form of care, conservation and management of unconventional and / or multimedia materials, contained in the libraries of Faculdades Integradas Aparício de Carvalho (FIMCA), Faculdade de Rondônia (FARO) and Faculdade Católica de Rondônia (FCR). Conducts exploratory and qualitative research to better understand the theme. For data collection, three interviews were conducted with the respective librarians at the sectioned institution. In this way, as one of the attributions, it was possible to offer suggestions as to the aspects that can be improved, in common agreement with those responsible for the four libraries object of the research. It concludes that multimedia is a type of informational material that must coexist with traditional materials, as an aggregating and complementary option in the education process of the clients of these institutions.
