A Festa de Shavuot ou Pentecostes é a segunda das três grandes festas
de Israel. Da festa das primÃcias Shavuot passou, ao longo da história, a celebrar
a memória da Aliança do Sinai, com o “dom†da Torá, sem nunca perder
o seu caráter agrÃcola, chegando ao universo cristão celebrando o “dom†do
EspÃrito Santo e os “dons†do EspÃrito Santo. O processo de desenvolvimento
de Shavuot deixa transparecer que o caráter agrÃcola se sobressai ao contexto
histórico, sendo este assumido a partir da infl uência cristã, ao transpor a solenidade
judaica para o universo cristão vinculando e concluindo o perÃodo
pascal. Diante disto surge a questão se a historização de Shavuot/Pentecostes
seja eminentemente de tradição judaica ou infl uência do cristianismo. Este
artigo deseja apresentar este processo histórico da Festa Judaica de Shavuot Ã
Festa Cristã de Pentecostes evidenciando as particularidades e a mútua influência litúrgica e teológica.

The Feast of Shavuot or Pentecost is the second of the three great feasts
of Israel. The feast of fi rstfruits Shavuot became, in the course of history, to
celebrate the Covenant of Sinai, the “gift†of the Torah, without ever losing its
agricultural character, reaching the Christian universe celebrating the “giftâ€
of the Holy Spirit. The process of development of Shavuot reveals that the agricultural character excels at historical context, this being taken from the
Christian infl uence, to transpose the Jewish Feast for the Christian universe
liking and concluding the Easter period. Before this the question arises if the
history of Shavuot-Pentecost is eminently of Jewish tradition or infl uence
of Christianity. This article you want to submit this historical process of the
Jewish Feast of Shavuot to the Christian Feast of Pentecost evidencing the
peculiarities and mutual infl uence liturgical and theological.
