This article presents the results from the morpho-lithologicalstudies performed in the hydrographic basin of the stream Lajeado Grande- West of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. For this, we performed adetailed analysis of the conditions of the physical environment, where sixmorpho-lithological units were recognized, characterized and differentiatedbased on the characteristics of the relief, of the rocky substrate and thetypes of soils derived. The units were identified: hills of sandstone, volcanichills, and the sandstone steps in middle rocky slopes, hills of sandstonewith slopes, volcanic hills with slopes and plain of accumulation.
