O presente artigo propõe discutir as estratégias da cooperativa Cocamar, nos últimos
dez anos, após um aprofundamento de sua inserção agroindustrial regional, com base na
diversificação e na produção voltada ao varejo. As primeiras constatações dão conta de
que a atuação da cooperativa tem sido totalmente distinta do que foi no passado,
priorizando certas cadeias e diversificando a própria verticalização, mas sem
diversificar toda matriz produtiva, consolidada na soja.

This article discusses the strategies of the Cocamar Cooperative the last ten years after
a deepening of its integration into regional agro-based diversification in production and
turned to retail. Preliminary findings give account of the performance of the cooperative
has been completely different than it was in the past, prioritizing certain chains and
diversifying the verticalization itself, but without any matrix diversify productive,
consolidated in soybeans.
