O gênero Pornochanchada foi um dos carros chefes da década de 1970. O gênero adquiriu esse nome por combinar erotismo com pitadas de comédia. O grosso da produção vinha da Boca-do-Lixo paulistana, região conhecida por suas boates e bordéis. Eram filmes de baixo custo e rentabilidade alta e atraiam milhares de espectadores. Foi a pornochanchada que lançou Vera Fischer ao estrelato (em “A Superfêmeaâ€). Atrizes como Sônia Braga também estiveram no elenco dessas produções. O maior Ãdolo desse tipo de filme foi David Cardoso, arquétipo do ‘macho brasileiro’, cuja presença era sinal certo de bilheteria rentável. Entre alguns tÃtulos da pornochanchada estão os sugestivos “19 Mulheres e Um Homemâ€, “Deu Viado na Cabeçaâ€.
