A medida socioeducativa é a responsabilização em face da transgressão do adolescente que comete ato infracional. Com o objetivo de analisar a natureza híbrida das medidas socioeducativas, suas especificidades e o que se entende por eficácia, realizou-se um estudo teórico por meio de dados bibliográficos e análise documental, mediante abordagem dedutiva, apresentando, como premissa maior, as medidas socioeducativas em espécie e os critérios para aplicação; e, como premissa menor, visou identificar a eficácia no estudo de caso realizado. Observou-se que, além da eficácia jurídica para caracterizar a responsabilização do adolescente, é necessária a eficácia social para possibilitar o alcance do caráter pedagógico e sancionatório da medida, o que permite concluir que as medidas socioeducativas encontram reconhecimento social quando promovem a mudança de vida dos adolescentes

The socio-educational measure is the consequence in face of the transgression done by teenagers who commits infractional acts. With the objective of analyzing the hybrid nature of the socio-educational measure, its specificities and the understanding of the term efficacy, a theoretic study has been developed by means of bibliographic data and documental analysis, using for this a deductive approach, showing as a bigger premise the socio-educational in species and the criteria for application and as a minor premise to identify the efficacy of the study of case made. It was observed that, besides the juridical efficacy to characterize the responsibility of the teenager, is necessary the social efficacy to enable the aim of the pedagogic and sanctionatory of the measure, which permits to conclude that the socio-educational measures meet social acceptance when it promotes the change of life in teenagers.
