The process of installing the crisis of modernity, which we approach in this text, puts us in an uncomfortable and daring position of examining the present time, anchored in the past and with one foot in the future. We realize that our concepts and categories do not account for understanding, predicting, explaining, and interfering, but we are reticent and fragile in abandoning them completely. The solution found, momentarily, was to bridge the gap between these instruments umbilically linked to the modern anthropological soil and the new ones built by and in the unfolding of this transitional period, in which we find ourselves. We try to understand how the philosophical currents are reacting to the shocks produced by the structural crisis of the modern world responsible in large scale for the theoretical-methodological crisis of the sciences. For this, we draw a brief historical panorama from the Second World War, between the exact sciences and the human sciences; we highlight the spaces occupied by them in modernity, under the guidance of the readings of Bruno Latour; and we outline the attempts of reaction of the modern, postmodern and those who risk saying that "we were never modern" in the face of the crisis.
