O presente artigo propõe uma reflexão acerca das contribuições dos estudos do sociólogo francês Pierre Bourdieu para o campo educacional, bem como para a sua própria Sociologia da Educação. A proposta, portanto, busca ressaltar os elementos e as considerações sobre educação correlacionando-as com as teorias sociológicas seguidas por Pierre Bourdieu e a sua ligação com a temática educacional. Para tanto, em uma pesquisa de cunho bibliográfica e documental referente as obras do autor que se referem as temáticas educacionais, principalmente ao livro Escritos de Educação (1998) e a sua fortuna crítica estabelecida por outros pesquisadores da área, como Valle (2007), Catani e Pereira (2001), Catani (2002), Brito (2002), Lahire (1999), Nogueira (2001) e Nogueira (2002). Além disso, apropria-se de autores como Prado Júnior (1980) e Saviani (1987) para fortalecer os debates realizados. A abordagem metodológica é qualitativa, já que se pretende analisar e compreender as tramas de significados, de representações e de contextos imbuídos e atribuídos aos textos que foram objeto do estudo. O texto seguirá o seguinte percurso: primeiramente, far-se-á uma breve apresentação da vida e da obra do autor; em seguida, serão realizados alguns apontamentos sobre os seus trabalhos no campo da Sociologia da Educação e com enfoque em temas afins à área educacional. Por fim, nas considerações finais, busca-se explicitar as implicações de suas pesquisas e de suas produções com o comprometimento com a formação humana e suas relações entre a sociedade, as camadas sociais e as instituições, como a família, a escola e a universidade.

This article proposes a reflection on the contributions of the studies of the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu to the educational field, as well as to his own Sociology of Education. The proposal, therefore, seeks to highlight the elements and considerations about education by correlating them with the sociological theories followed by Pierre Bourdieu and their connection with the educational theme. For this purpose, in a bibliographic and documentary research referring to the author's works that refer to educational themes, mainly to the book Escritos de Educação (1998) and his critical fortune established by other researchers in the area, such as Valle (2007), Catani and Pereira (2001), Catani (2002), Brito (2002), Lahire (1999), Nogueira (2001) and Nogueira (2002). In addition, it appropriates authors such as Prado Júnior (1980) and Saviani (1987) to strengthen the debates held. The methodological approach is qualitative, since it is intended to analyze and understand the plots of meanings, representations and contexts imbued and attributed to the texts that were the object of the study. The text will follow the following path: first, there will be a brief presentation of the author's life and work; followed by, some notes on his works in the field of Sociology of Education and with a focus on themes related to the educational area. Finally, in the final considerations, we seek to explain the implications of his research and his productions with the commitment to human formation and its relations between society, social strata and institutions, such as the family, the school and the university.
