AVALIAÇÃO DE SEDIMENTOS DO LEITO NO CANAL CURUTUBA / PLANÍCIE FLUVIAL DO ALTO RIO PARANÁ, MATO GROSSO DO SUL – BRASIL

Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o comportamento dos sedimentos do leito em seções transversais no canal Curutuba (MS) / planície fluvial do alto rio Paraná, trecho a jusante da Usina Hidrelétrica (UHE) Engº Sérgio Motta (barragem de Porto Primavera), durante o período de vazante, relacionando-as com a influência de drenos nas suas margens. Os sedimentos do leito foram coletados por meio de um amostrador de mandíbula do tipo Van-Veenn, com auxílio de um barco. O material coletado passou por análise granulométrica por peneiramento a seco e posteriormente por análises estatísticas por meio do software Grânulo. Observou-se o predomínio de areia fina na seção Curutuba-Entrada e de areia grossa na seção Curutuba-Saída, o que indica aporte de sedimentos grosseiros que podem estar associados a problemas no uso e manejo da terra nas áreas próximas ao canal.

this work had as goal to evaluate the behavior of the bed sediments in cross sections on Curutuba channel (MS) / fluvial plain of high Paraná River during the dry season, linking them with the influence of drains. There is at downstream stretch of Eng Sergio Motta hydropower (UHE) (Porto Primavera dam),. The sediments of the river bed have been collected through a mandible sampler of type Van-Veenn with the aid of a boat. The material sampled was taken to the grain size analysis and after by the statistical analyses through the software Grânulo. Was noted the prevalence of fine sand in Curutuba-entry section and coarse sand in the Curutuba-outlet section, which indicates a yield of coarse sediments that may be associated with impacts related to land use and management in these areas close to the channel.
