This article presents an analysis of the effectiveness of glass wool as insulation, in joint use with acoustic fencing systems in indoor environments. So that the wool is your total effectiveness as an insulating material, it must be applied over a solid surface, in this case, the surface used was the Drywall, a system that comes growing enough in Brazil due to your convenience, and be constructively the dry. It was studied and verified the acoustic performance of an acoustic blanket in a single-family residence located in one of the most important and busiest avenues in the city of Manaus, and that has a high level of noise during much of the day were analyzed distinctly the following phenomena: sound transmission between rooms and acoustic absorption of the insulating material under study. The analysis was carried out in two schedules to make a comparison between a daylight high-flow on the Boulevard and a moderate flow. The on-the-spot study used a noise-measuring equipment, called decibel meter that generates values in decibels. A study was conducted in two rooms of the residence, an acoustic treatment, and another environment without treatment. The results showed that glass wool had your performance effectively, with a considerable reduction of noise in the environment that has proofed. Despite the high level of noise in the vicinity of the residence, the material has developed a good sound-absorbing, adapting the environments according to the Regulatory standards requirements.
