O objetivo desse estudo é analisar a produção do conhecimento em forma de dissertaçõese teses sobre o atletismo classificadas na subárea pedagógica da Educação Física no Brasil.Caracterizada como bibliográfica, a pesquisa realizou a busca das dissertações e teses produzidas noBrasil sobre o atletismo publicadas até o ano 2020 na seguinte base de dados: Catálogo de Teses eDissertações da Capes. Como resultados foram encontrados 33 manuscritos. Os textos estavamdistribuídos entre anos de 1987 até 2020, sendo desenvolvidos principalmente em instituiçõespaulistas. Os estudos orientados em sua maioria qualitativamente, focaram as análisesmajoritariamente no atletismo de forma geral, sendo o Atletismo Escolar e as Metodologias de Ensinoos principais temas estudados.
This study aims to analyze the production of knowledge in the form of dissertations andtheses on track and field classified in the pedagogical subarea of Physical Education in Brazil.Characterized as bibliographic, the research searched for dissertations and theses produced in Brazilon track and field published until the year 2020 in the following database: Capes Theses andDissertations Catalogue. As a result, 33 manuscripts were found. The texts were distributed betweenthe years 1987 to 2020, being developed mainly in São Paulo institutions. Most qualitatively orientedstudies focused mostly on track and field in general, with School track and field and TeachingMethodologies being the main topics studied.
