Este artigo se propõe a analisar o processo de emburguesamento (embourgeiosement) existente na África do Sul pós-apartheid. Compreendendo embourgeiosement como um processo que postula a migração de pessoas para as fileiras da burguesia, argumenta-se que os eventos iniciais da década de 1990 que marcaram o fim do regime do regime do apartheid também podem ser interpretados como um conglomerado de forças sociais e político-econômicas que estimularam as elites do CNA a não se voltarem a reestruturação da política econômica da África do Sul. Feito isso, conclui-se que não há uma clara tendência da política sul-africana pós-1994 em se pautar na equidade social.

This article aims to analyze the process of embourgeoisement present in post-apartheid South Africa. Comprehending embourgeoisement as a process in which there is the migration of people to the bourgeoisie ranks, it is argued that the initial events in the 1990s that marked the end of the apartheid regime can also be seen as a conglomeration of social and political-economic forces that has stimulated the ANC elites to not turning back to the economic policy restructuration of South Africa. After this analysis, it is concluded that there is not a clear trend in South African politics in post-1994 based on social equity.
