No presente artigo propusemo-nos a traçar parte
do processo referente à invenção da Ãfrica
e dos africanos apresentado pelas representações
cartográficas. Quais foram as formas e as
caracterÃsticas que viriam a dar origem a este
especÃfico fenômeno, bem como os caminhos
e desvios que o trariam para a esfera do ser e
pensar ocidental, foram algumas questões que
buscamos desbravar.
In this article, we set out to trace invention
process of Africa and Africans as presented by
cartographical representations. What were the
forms and characteristics that would originate
this specific phenomenon, as well as the paths
and detours that would take it to the ocidental
sphere of being and thought are some of the
questions we raise.
