O Teste de Aptidão Física, é um dos critérios de seleção ao ingresso à carreira de policial civil nos estados brasileiros, porém, cada estado tem autonomia para definir os testes incluídos no TAF. Encontramos o Paraná com 6 testes e a Paraíba com um 1 teste realizado na seleção. O objetivo do estudo foi identificar as características dos testes físicos adotados no TAF dos estados brasileiros e realizar análise comparativa destes. Os dados foram obtidos junto aos sites das secretarias de segurança pública entre 2014 e 2018. Se adotou a estatística descritiva para caracterizar a amostra (média e desvio padrão, e índices absoluto e relativo). A estatística inferencial foi realizada através do teste do qui-quadrado adotando um nível de significância de p≤0,05. Os principais resultados apontaram para os testes de 12 minutos, flexões abdominais e barra fixa como os mais prevalentes, enquanto os saltos, corridas, Legér e outros foram verificados em um único estado. Se percebeu uma falta de coerência nos testes, devido a discrepância verificada entre os estados, como também uma fragilidade nas informações obtidas em alguns estados que avaliaram através de 1 ou 3 testes, parecendo não ser capaz de uma avaliação mais adequada destes candidatos.

The Physical Fitness Test is one of the selection criteria when entering the career of a civil police officer in the Brazilian states, however, each state has autonomy to define the tests included in the PFT. We found Paraná with 6 tests and Paraíba with a 1 test performed in the selection. The aim of this study was to identify the characteristics of the physical tests adopted in the PFT of the Brazilian states and to highlight their comparative analysis. The data were obtained from the websites of the public security secretariats between 2014 and 2018. Descriptive statistics were adopted to characterize the sample (mean and standard deviation, and absolute and relative indices). The inferential statistic was performed using the chi-square test, adopting a significance level of p≤0.05. The main results pointed to the 12-minute tests, abdominal push-ups and fixed bar as the most prevalent, while jumps, races, Legér and others were verified in a single state. A lack of consistency was perceived in the tests, due to the discrepancy between the states, as well as a fragility in the information obtained in some states that evaluated through 1 or 3 tests, seeming not to be able to better evaluate these candidates.
