The objective of this article is to reflect on educational practices related to the teaching of musical instruments and musicalization in childhood, experienced in non - formal spaces of education. The reflections come from cartographic research whose theoretical reference is based on authors such as Gallo (1990), Gohn (2007, 2013), Meira (2014), Deleuze and Guattari (2010), Larrosa (2013), Schafer (2011), Passos, Kastrup and Escóssia (2014) and Sarmento (2005). The research methodologies are of a qualitative approach, which from a the cartographic view, privileges not only the results, but the research processes. The investigations were carried out with children in non-formal educational spaces, a museum and a music school in the state of Santa Catarina. The analysis of the research processes reveals that the children construct sonorities from the lived experiences, and that the sensitive knowledge is indispensable for the teacher, especially those working in the musical area and with children. In view of this, it is necessary to think of a broad curriculum that has the flexibility to adapt to the characteristics and singularities of the children and the formation of a sensitive teacher.
