Este estudo visa apresentar o Pantanal mato-grossense delineado na poesia de Manoel de Barros, no que tange ao espaço vivido, paisagem e memória. Isto é possível devido à integração das perspectivas da Geografia Cultural e Humanística que, após as devidas reformulações em seu referencial teórico e metodológico, passam a conceber e compreender o homem e suas ações num dado espaço, considerando, inclusive sua subjetividade neste local. A pesquisa é de natureza quali-interpretativa, de caráter bibliográfico e objetiva demonstrar a aproximação de áreas distintas do saber, porém complementares, por meio da abordagem interdisciplinar. Parcialmente, pode-se dizer que o resultado dessa investigação contribui para a compreensão de fenômenos e aspectos naturais, inerentes à Geografia atrelados ao contexto literário de textos poéticos, suscitando reflexões e desdobramentos, na construção de significados e apreensão de sentidos, emanados da arte literária.

This study aims to present the Pantanal of Mato-Grosso delineated in the poetry of Manoel de Barros, in what concerns the lived space, landscape and memory. This is possible due to the integration of the perspectives of Cultural and Humanistic Geography that, after due reformulations in their theoretical and methodological referential, begin to conceive and understand man and his actions in a given space, considering, including his subjectivity in this place. The research is qualitative and interpretative in nature, with a bibliographic and objective character to demonstrate the approximation of distinct areas of knowledge, but complementary, through the interdisciplinary approach. Partially, it can be said that the result of this research contributes to the understanding of phenomena and natural aspects inherent to Geography, linked to the literary context of poetic texts, provoking reflections and unfolding, in the construction of meanings and apprehension of meanings emanated from literary art.
