O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar as figurações do anjo vingador e da mulher fatal personificadas em VirgÃnia, personagem principal do romance Ciranda de Pedra, de Lygia Fagundes Telles. Aparentemente antagônicas, as personificações destas duas entidades se complementam no processo de violência e vingança que a personagem empreende contra os membros do cÃrculo social ao qual deseja pertencer, porém é rejeitada.
Resumo Inglês:
The aim of this study is to analyze the figurations of avenger angel and the femme fatale personified in Virginia, the main character in the novel Ciranda de Pedra, by Lygia Fagundes Telles. Apparently antagonistic, the personifications of these two entities complement each other in the process of violence and revenge that the character undertakes against the members of the social circle to which she wants to belong, but is rejected.
