A partir
This article concerns the use of the digital genre of electronic forum in the Literacy
and Production of Academic Texts Course at the Federal University of Ceará – Brazil, in which
the objective was to develop skills in the comprehension and production of academic texts,
specifically scientific articles. To this aim, students learned, in classes where they were physically
present, about the genre of scientific article and its most widely used rhetorical devices. From
these classes, students began to produce their own texts, at which point the forum served as a
didactic tool for the appropriation of knowledge regarding the article. Results demonstrated
that the learning about article production was very significant and collaborative, as the students
satisfactorily used the multimodal resources available through the forum, and critically analyzed
the texts of other students in the group, confirming that they perceived the successes and failures,
and therefore, became more attentive to their own production.
