O presente estudo investigou a interação universidade-empresa através da atuação das Empresas Juniores (EJs) da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) com as indústrias catarinenses. Participar de uma EJ é a oportunidade que os estudantes têm de estabelecer um contato direto com o mundo empresarial. A UFSC foi a instituição percussora na fundação dessas associações no Sul do Brasil e atualmente, apresenta o maior número de EJs no estado. O objetivo desse trabalho foi diagnosticar possibilidades e oportunidades de crescimento para o Movimento Empresa Júnior (MEJ) na UFSC através de um levantamento dos setores que são alcançados através da atuação das EJs, tendo como base os Setores Portadores de Futuro de SC, identificados pela Federação das Empresas do Estado de Santa Catarina (FIESC). A abordagem da pesquisa ocorreu através do método qualitativo e quantitativo em bibliografias que tratam do tema e em relatórios. Os dados levantados evidenciaram a importância que o relacionamento universidade-empresa, através da atuação das EJs, pode representar no meio acadêmico e no desenvolvimento socioeconômico do estado. Finalmente, foram apontadas possíveis ações que a universidade pode desempenhar a fim de atingir maior expansão e fortalecimento do movimento.

The present study investigated the university-company interaction through the performance of Junior Enterprises (EJs) of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) with the industries from Santa Catarina. Participating in an EJ is the opportunity that students have of establishing a direct contact with the business world. The UFSC was the initial institution that founded these associations in the South of Brazil and currently, has the largest number of EJs in the state. This work aimed to diagnoses the possibilities and opportunities to the Junior Enterprise Movement (MEJ) growing at UFSC, through the mapping of sectors which are achieved through the EJs performance, based on the Sectors Bearers of Future of SC, identified by the Federation of Companies of the State of Santa Catarina (FIESC). The approach of the research occurred through the qualitative and quantitative method in bibliographies that deal with the subject and in reports. The data showed the importance of the university-company relationship, through the performance of EJs, can represent in the academic medium and socioeconomic development of the state. Finally, possible actions were pointed that the university can play in order to achieve further expansion and strengthening of the movement.
