O presente artigo investigará as causas da evasão na Educação de Jovens e Adultos I, na Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Raulindo de Araújo Rios situada na cidade Quixabeira - BA. Dessa maneira, pretende-se levantar informações na instituição escolar que possibilite descrever as causas da evasão na EJA I; descrever a conjuntura social e pedagógica que pode suscitar a evasão e, por esse viés, averiguar o que os alunos e ex-alunos pensam sobre a sua experiência na EJA I. Na busca por obter resposta para a problemática, a pesquisa se estabelece enquanto fundamentação bibliográfica os seguintes teóricos Batalha e Silva (2018), Freitas e Foster (2016), Silva (2019), Laibida e Pryjma (2013). Por fim, foi realizada uma análise dos dados levantados para responder a problemática desta pesquisa e, dessa forma, conclui-se que a evasão na EJA do EMEF Raulindo de Araújo Rios se destaca por motivos de desmotivação, desgaste físico, dificuldade de aprendizagem vinculado à necessidade de trabalhar, o que resulta na dificuldade em permanecer em sala de aula e construir caminhos educacionais.

This study will investigate the causes of school supply in Youth and Adult Education [EJA I], at the Escola Municipal Raulindo de Araújo Rios [Elementary School] located in the city of Quixabeira - BA. Thus, it is intended to gather information in the school institution that makes it possible to describe the causes of school supply in EJA I; describe the social and pedagogical situation that can lead to truancy and, by this bias, find out what students and former students think about their experience in EJA I. In the search for an answer to the problem, research is established as a foundation bibliographical the following theorists Batalha e Silva (2018), Freitas and Foster (2016), Silva (2019), Laibida and Pryjma (2013). Finally, an analysis of the data collected was performed to answer the problem of this research and, thus, it is concluded that the truancy in EJA of the School Raulindo de Araújo Rios stands out for reasons of lack of motivation, physical wear, learning difficulties linked to need to work, which results in the difficulty of staying in the classroom and building educational paths.
