Este estudo analisa a contribuição dos fatores determinantes da oferta de empreendedores para o florescimento do empreendedorismo em Ilhéus e Itabuna. A série de informações levantadas a respeito dos dois municípios em questão, permitiu fazer uma análise exploratória da realidade socioeconômica dos mesmos, a luz da Teoria Eclética do Empreendedorismo, que aponta um conjunto de fatores sociais e econômicos, aliados a questão das políticas públicas, como os determinantes da atividade empreendedora. Complementarmente uma análise para correlacionar os fatores socioeconômicos com a taxa de empreendedorismo, confirmou alta intensidade, ou seja, aderentes com a Teoria, o que leva a inferir que o empreendedorismo em Ilhéus e Itabuna, no período em estudo, foi fortemente influenciado por esse conjunto de fatores.

This study aims to understand the contribution of the factors determining the supply of entrepreneurs for the flourishing of entrepreneurship in Ilheus and Itabuna. The number of information gathered about the two cities in question, allowed an exploratory analysis of the socioeconomic reality of them, the light of Eclectic Entrepreneurship Theory, pointing a set of social and economic factors, together with the issue of public policy, as the determinants of entrepreneurial activity in a particular region. In addition an analysis to correlate socioeconomic factors with the entrepreneurship rate, confirmed high intensity, ie adherents to the theory, which leads to the inference that entrepreneurship in Ilheus and Itabuna, in the period under study, it was strongly influenced by this set factors.
