O presente estudo tem como objetivo destacar a atuação do Professor nos Cursos Superiores da Educação à Distância da Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP), evidenciando sua prática e as implicações nessa modalidade de ensino. Destaca-se ainda a necessidade de um profissional comprometido, com conhecimento técnico e articulação para contribuir no que se refere ao aprendizado do aluno no campo da educação a distância. No que diz respeito aos procedimentos metodológicos, apresenta-se uma abordagem qualitativa de compreensão da atuação do docente na Educação a Distância no cenário da UNIFAP, através de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Chegou-se ao entendimento, que no contexto da Universidade Federal do Amapá, o professor da Educação a Distância precisa manter-se em uma linha tênue de atualização, pois mesmo sendo uma modalidade de ensino relativamente nova, a EAD vem sendo cada vez mais procurada. Concluiu-se, portanto, que âmbito no âmbito da UNIFAP, o professor de cursos superiores da EAD encontra dificuldades tanto por parte dos alunos quanto por parte dos demais envolvidos no processo de aprendizagem, mas há uma relação intrínseca que vem crescendo gradativamente para que essa realidade mude. Logo, tais mudanças farão da Educação a Distância um modelo de aprendizagem no âmbito da UNIFAP.

This study aims to highlight the role of the teacher in the Higher Education Courses Distance from Federal University of Amapá (UNIFAP), showing the forms of action and the implications this type of education. It also highlights the need for a committed professional with technical knowledge and articulation to contribute with regard to student learning in the field of this type of education. Regarding the methodological procedures, it presents a qualitative approach to understanding the teacher's role in distance education in the setting of UNIFAP through bibliographical and documentary research. Came to the understanding that the context of the Federal University of Amapá, Education teacher Distance needs to remain in a fine line update, because even being a relatively new type of education, distance education has been increasingly sought. It was concluded, therefore, that within the framework of UNIFAP, professor of higher education ODL has difficulty both by students and by the others involved in the learning process, but there is an intrinsic relationship that has been growing gradually for this reality change. Therefore, these changes will make distance education a learning model within UNIFAP.
