Os projetos de trabalho como forma de organização dos conhecimentos escolares permitem
um processo de reflexão e interpretação sobre diferentes informações e procedimentos, estabelecer
vínculos entre a teoria e o cotidiano, contextualizar o estudo da Matemática, gerar um trabalho
interdisciplinar, educar pela pesquisa e modificar a organização do currículo escolar tradicional. O
projeto de trabalho “Matemática Viva”, foco deste artigo, foi aplicado em turmas de 8ª série do
Ensino Fundamental, no Componente Curricular de Matemática, e foi planejado e executado em
conjunto, alunos e professor/pesquisador, objetivando alcançar essas metas.

Resumo Inglês:

The work projects as a way of organizing the scholastic knowledge, allow a reflection and
interpretation process about different information and procedures, establish links between the theory
and practice, contextually the study of Mathematics, generate an interdisciplinary work, teach through
searching, and modify the organization of the traditional scholar curriculum. The work project “Matemática Viva”, focus of this article, was applied tho the elementary 8
th
grade groups, and was planned
and fulfilled together, students and teacher researched, aiming to reach these purposes.
